Signs and Signposts

Mrs Gullbranson wants to have a sign post to tell people where things are around the School.
The senior syndicate is trying to make a good sign post so Mrs Gullbranson can pick your design to make into a real life sign.To put it around the school so everyone knows where all the places are in our School.

After a lot of hard work in Room 3 we finally finished our signs! Parents, teachers and students were able to vote for them at student led conferences and two our our signs have been taken away for consideration! Here goes some photos of us with our finished products:

Matariki

Last week was a WOW week focused on Matariki. To celebrate we went to the museum to learn about Taonga Puoro (Traditional Maori Musical Instruments) and make our own koauau. Most of the class managed to get theirs to play by the end of the week. We also met up with Room 14 where Miss Mason taught us about the tikanga around flax waving. We worked together to create flax flowers. If we had never made them before we had to give them to someone else.
