The Mystery Box
When we came to school there was a mysterious box, it was white and was addressed to Room 3 at Nayland Primary written in italics. We went to the other classes to see if they got one but they said "No". Miss MacGregor decided we would write about it and open it after morning tea. We used description to describe the box and our feelings about opening it. Gabrielle opened the box and inside, underneath lots of newspaper was a voucher for free hot chips for room 3. Everyone screamed and some people didn't know what was happening because others were crowding. At lunchtime we ate the chips and people were staring through the door at us. The girls thought the boys scoffed the chips. The boys said the girls ate too slow. The next day we wrote about how we felt once the box was opened.
